Then we had her family party on Saturday. The theme was flowers since it is one of the words she says very clearly.
Luke hanging with Grandpa.
Unwrapping Grandma Carol's gift. It's an American Girl Bitty Baby and a Bitty Baby Stroller. Yes, it is a HUGE hit!!
The cake! I have learned my lesson (see her first bday post) and took a photo before the party started :)
After she opened her first gift, she went into the kitchen to play with it. She was not interested in coming back to the living room to open the rest of her gifts. She told me, "No Momma!" We had to coax her back and convince her she wanted to open more gifts.

A couple of thoughts... Maddie is cute. The cake looks awesome and ymmy(did you make it?!). And Maddie rocks for sticking her face in it. OK, that was three thoughts.
P.S. Happy Birthday, Maddie!
No, I didn't make the cake. I wish! I brought a napkin with the party decor on it to the bakery and they decorated the cake to match. When I was a kid I loved getting a bakery cake on my birthday. It was so special to me. So, I decided to make it a tradition in our family. That's why not getting a good picture of Maddie's cake last year was so sad for me. I just love traditions :)
